I finished this one book called The Catcher in the Rye. I don't have much of a comment on it because it's really a hate-it or love-it. Rikki loves it, Alexis hates it. I'm...well, obviously, in the middle. I'm always like that. I'll like a few parts but hate some characteristics of some characters. for example, in this story, the main character and narrator, Holden, says 'goddam' constantly and hates many things. But, one thing I love about him is his relationship to his sister. It's really beautiful how he describes the relationship of him and his sister loving each other in a brother/sister way.

So, I'm on the fence. But overall, it's just not my style. It was too dramatic and modern for my excuse. I prefer the fairy tales, thanks! Rikki... that crazy chick... she just loves drama and stupid teen situations. Alexis, on the other hand, likes drama but in a different way. The way where it's sad- and series too! Oh how does Alexis loves series.

Anywho, as I said, I finished that book and is now reading, the Great Gatsby recommended by the great Ross himself.

I'm still a bit tired today. Even though I didn't do a thing! Midori, our japanese month student left this morning, but it's not the BIG of a deal. I mean, of course we'll miss her, but I think we're so adapted to the idea of always having people come and go, it's kinda hard on the student being unappreciated.

Anyway, Our new girl, who's going to school with me and is a senior (YES BABY!!!!!!!!), is coming on the 4th of Sept. Her name is Miu..... Ling(?), but her english name is Janet. She's from Hong Kong and doesn't seem very shy. So, it'll be nice.

You know, I signed on Diaryland thinking I'm only gonna type about my book, then LEAVE. But look at me now. Can't stop typing. I still can't stop typing. Lauren.... stop.
