MUSES
Well, thanks to my entry about muses, I've decided to make a page about mine.
There are 9 muses in Greek mythology. I will first say the greek name, then the person, then the reason. Ain't I just so creative? =D *note- if I didn't include you, please don't be mad. These are just people under these muses.*
Calliope(Beautiful voice): Eric -WHAT?! Yes, Eric. Slave Hristov is his name actually. But he wanted to be called Eric. Calliope was the cheif of the muses. Eric was like a big brother to me and was like in charge of me while he was here. He also had a very good singing voice. And I remember when he would sing and act. He was a great actor. He inspires me to be great.
Clio(Proclaimer): Rikki -my gosh! She reads and reads and reads. Sh'e salso a great writer with a lot of intelligence in the writing. She doesn't write just anything and that's what I love. She can make you feel happy and sad. Also, the books she read are truly amazing. She recommended them to me and they are great. She inspires me to be a great as she is in many ways.
Erato(Passionate or Lovely): Amber -Oh Amber... I think it was you who said boys are nothing and that it gets worse. Haha.. Thanks Amber. I think it was also her who helped me understand about life and love and how it can reuin your life completely. I remember how we both went through heartbreaks with those stupid boys. Lol! And she still inspires me about how she still goes through her life. So happy, proud and beautifully. Yeah, she inspires me.
Euterpe(Rejoicing Well or Pleasure Giver): Mom -yes, my mommy. Euterpe was the muse of music. And my mom was my music. She use to sing to me when I was little. Now, she sings with me(even though I'm not as good as her), and we just sing all the time. She also got me into playing the piano, and she wanted me to be in Orchastra. Now, I'm in orchastra and loving the bass. It's my favorite thing to do. My mom inspires me to never give up, even though I have blisters from plucking the strings, and 'that music heals you spirit. It makes you happy'. Inspiration, totally.
Polyhymnia(Many Songs): Doug -very persuasive and serious about what he does. He always had to put his best effort into whatever he did. Had to be the best. Polyhymnia was the muse of Sacred Hymns and Eloquence. I don't know about the hymns, but he was serious. Well, most of the time. At least to school and sports. His inspiration is that I should take serious to things that matter to me. And actually, he told me that once, when we were filming. I should've been helping than argueing with Nick. He inspires me.... a lot also.
Melpomene(Songstress): Acutally, there's two people in this category.
First, Mary- yes, Mary Romo. She is an awesome person and yet, she put a lot of pressure on herself. She doesn't think she's pretty or attractive in anyway and I feel for her. She's beautiful. And, her life at home is also hard on her. She talks about how she doesn't like her stepmom and that she's always in trouble. She inspires me to be happy and beautiful just like she is.
Second, Stacy -why Stacy? Stacy Kang? Because she's smart, talented, and lives with pushy parents. I feel sorry for Stacy. Her parents want her to be the best she can be. And I see Stacy. She works too hard, yet still wears a grin on her face. She is, indeed smart, but I sometimes don't think she truly wants to be. She once told me that she wished her parents would her decide, not them. Yeah... Stacy. Man, she inspires a lot about being myself and being happy. Not tragic.
Terpsichore(Rejoicing in the Dance or Whirling): Madonna -haha.. never thought it would be her, huh? Yes, the crazy Madonner who dances to ballet music and jazz. But why her? Terpsichore was the muse of dancing. Madonna is a dancer. Therefore, she inspires me to dance. But to dance for certain reasons. She dances because thats what she loves, and no one can take that any from her. It's what she does best. She inspires me to dance whenever I'm happy, sad, or just because. It makes you feel good. Of course I'm not a good dancer, but I love to dance anyway. I love to dance.
Thalia(Festive or Flourishing): Alexis -always laughing about it. Thalia was the muse of comedy and Alexis is right there making me laugh about something. Whether it was something she wrote, or said, or did. She just makes me laugh. Something I love doing. Even though the rest of the description doesn't fit her, the part about her being comedic is true. Even if I'm the ONLY one who thinks that. She inpsires me to just laugh about. It's no big deal. Seriouisly, if you really think about it.
Urania(Mountain Queen): Again, I have more than one person. I have THREE. Amber, Erin, and Katie -and for all of them. I have the same inspiration from them. Urania was the muse of astronomy and fortune-telling. Out of the three, I think it was Erin who encouraged me to look up at the stars, but they all inspired me about the future. All of them are older than me and are expierenced. The inspiring part is that what I'm going through, are things they already went through. And they all are living happily and are ALIVE. Lol! Two of them are in college and one of them is a highschool student- but still, those three are strong. They inspire me... to just remember that everything in the future will be ok.
